Newport Council for International Visitors is a community organization promoting global understanding through the exchange of ideas and shared experiences via education and people-to-people programs for international visitors and local residents.
By creating opportunities for free, open and respectful communication Citizen Diplomats advocate strongly for preserving the World in tolerance, health, peace and prosperity.

Wondering just what Newport Council for International visitors is all about? The list of FAQ's gives you insight into what we do, what committees you can be involved with and how to join our organization.                                                                                                                                                                                

Our 100% volunteer organization was founded in 1974 and today is involved in community activities including our "Great Decisions" Seminars Program in conjunction with local educational, business and civic institutions; sponsoring international student officers at the Naval War College and other Newport Naval Station commands; working with the City of Newport in it's "Sister City" Program; operating Information Kiosks for the past summer's "Tall Ships" event in Newport's famous harbor --- and much more!
